Terms
The rules for using this site, and for businesses that list on it.
Last updated 18 October 2026 · Version 2026-10-18
About these terms
Kensington and Chelsea, London (https://kensingtonandchelsea.london) is an independent site. Contact us at hello@kensingtonandchelsea.london.
The first part applies to everyone who uses the site. The second part also applies to estate agents, landlords, venues and restaurants with a business account. How we handle personal information is set out in our privacy notice.
Using the site
- The guide is for general information. We check it carefully, but opening times, prices and events change, so confirm anything important with the place itself.
- Listings, venues and restaurants are published by the businesses themselves. They are responsible for what they publish; we check businesses before they can publish but don't verify every detail.
- We aren't an estate agent, letting agent or booking agent, and we aren't party to any sale, letting, hire or booking you arrange with a business. A table request isn't a booking until the restaurant confirms it.
- Don't misuse the site: no automated scraping, no spam or false enquiries, and nothing that disrupts the service or other people's use of it.
- The site's design and editorial content belong to us or our licensors. You may share links and short quotations, but not copy substantial parts.
Business accounts
By opening a business account you accept these terms on behalf of your business, and confirm you have authority to do so.
- Your business must be based in, or listing property or premises in, the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea.
- Give accurate details when you sign up, and keep them up to date. We review every business before it can publish, and agencies must belong to a government-approved redress scheme.
- Keep sign-in access to people in your business who need it, and remove people who leave.
- The service is free while we launch. We'll give you at least 30 days' notice before introducing any charges, and you can close your account before they apply.
What you publish
You are responsible for everything your business publishes, and it must be accurate, up to date and lawful. In particular:
- Property listings must include the material information buyers and tenants need (as set out in National Trading Standards guidance), a valid EPC or a genuine exemption, and must not mislead, under the Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act 2024.
- Lettings must show one fixed rent, must not invite or accept offers above it, and must not refuse tenants because they have children or receive benefits (Renters' Rights Act 2025). Deposits must follow the Tenant Fees Act 2019, and letting agencies must hold client money protection.
- Venue capacities, prices and licences, and restaurant opening hours and booking details, must be accurate.
- Only publish photos, floorplans and text you own or have permission to use. You give us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to show them on the site and in links to it, for as long as they're published and for a reasonable time after.
- Mark listings as under offer, sold, let or withdrawn promptly, and remove anything no longer available.
We may review, reformat, hide or remove anything that breaks these terms or the law, or that we reasonably think could mislead people, and we may suspend an account while we look into a concern.
Enquiries you receive
When someone contacts your business through the site, we pass their details to you. Your business is then a separate data controller for that information under UK data protection law.
- Use enquiry details only to respond to that enquiry and deal with what it's about.
- Don't add enquirers to marketing lists unless they've separately agreed.
- Keep the information secure and delete it when you no longer need it.
- Requests to confirm or decline tables are your responsibility, as is letting the guest know.
Our responsibility to you
- We provide the service with reasonable care and skill, but can't promise it will always be available or free of errors, or that it will bring you enquiries or business.
- We aren't responsible for dealings between businesses and the people who contact them.
- If you're a business, our total liability to you under these terms in any 12 months is limited to £100, and we aren't liable for loss of profit, business or opportunity.
- Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law doesn't allow us to limit. If you're using the site as a consumer, your statutory rights aren't affected.
Ending your account
You can close your business account at any time by emailing hello@kensingtonandchelsea.london. We may close an account with 30 days' notice, or straight away if the business seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms. When an account closes, its listings, venues and restaurants are removed from the site.
Changes and the law
We may update these terms. We'll show the date and version at the top, and tell business account holders by email before material changes take effect. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and its courts have jurisdiction.
