Voluminous thobes from the Najd region, given by King Abdulaziz to the daughter of the British Ambassador to Saudi Arabia in 1942 and 1952, shimmer with metal-wrapped thread. A short film on 1940s bridal thobes accompanies this free display, part of the V&A's Jameel Programme.
